U.S. Virgin Islands The U.S. Virgin Islands Commemorates the XXVII Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia in 2000 by Issuing Limited Edition License Plates to Benefit Athletes of the Virgin Islands Olympic Team This is the third in a series of OFFICIAL, Legal Olympic license plates, issued by the Government of the Virgin Islands, celebrating the XXVII Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia. The Virgin Islands Olympic Committee, in cooperation with both the Virgin Islands Motor Vehicle Bureau and Motor Vehicle License Systems, official Sponsor, is authorized to produce only 999 limited edition numbered plates beginning with number 1 and ending with number 999. Personalized plates are also available, as pictured above. All plates are now issued in pairs. Motor Vehicle License Systems is proud to offer these beautiful license plates for $50.0O, per pair, plus $4.00 for shipping and handling. Plate numbers will be assigned on a first come, first served basis or by priority number of the previous issue. Each number will be issued only once. All proceeds will directly benefit the Virgin Islands Olympic Team as it prepares for the Summer Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia, in 2000. Duplicate numbers will not be issued These Olympic license plates, issued by the Government of the Virgin Islands, are made of heavy gauge aluminum, produced in full Olympic colors, on a fully reflective background.
